I (Greg) just finished reading "Glory on Your House" by Jack Hayford, who is Pastor
of Church on the Way in California with a weekly attendance of 10,000.
In this book Jack shares the ups and downs of his life in ministry and how God took this church from a small group of older
believers into one of America's largest churches'. This is not a how to kind of book so you can build your ministry
to be large. He challenges the reader to look deep at his own heart and realize it is God who does the work through
us and that only comes through intimacy with the Father.
One of the things he pointed out about evangelism I particularly liked was that
evangelism is best when it is a natural occurence. Although not against evangelism programs, he points out biblical
examples of hearts that are fully surrendered to Christ that naturally share the good news of Jesus Christ in their daily
lives.
If you are content with where your relationship with Abba Father is, this book
is not for you. But if you’re like me and you hunger for more (remembering that means less of you) I highly recommend
this book to you.
